MOUNT TABOR RESERVOIR

GEOTHERMAL BATHHOUSE

Vicinity Map - Portland Oregon

Empty Stage

Call to action:

Mount Tabor in Portland Oregon is an inactive volcano, and has three existing reservoirs. The reservoir water is no longer usable for human consumption, and the city is seeking to repurpose the infrastructure.

Concept Proposal:

 - Utilize the elevation change between the two reservoirs to transfer water from the upper reservoir 1 to the lower  reservoir 2, and generate power with water wheels in the process.

 - Reservoir 2 injects water into the earths crust for geothermic power production, and steam / hot water is collected back at the top of reservoir 1.

 - A power plant collects the geothermic power and converts it into electricity to be used by Portland and surrounding communities.

 - Reservoir 1 also cleans the recycled water and uses it for the bathhouse. The bathhouse is open to be used by the public.

 - This automated process of a gravity fed water loop, geothermic power conversion, and water purification is continuous.
