YIMBY is a factory-built kit of parts accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that is constructed in panels with a core pod, and efficiently assembled in the backyard. Target customers are urban homeowners with equity who want to build a small home in the backyard to rent out for income, or to house family (intergenerational living) or friends. Homeowners want to build on the most valuable asset they own, their home, and gain a sense of comfort and financial security for the future.

- Utilize the current construction industry and the building code itself. The architecture tactically follows residential code to meet design review criteria and fit within any site setbacks or height restrictions. 

- For example utilizing the per-scripted code standard and the mineralization of expensive on site trade labor.

- The floor plan being based on the standard 4x8 standard material dimension helps reduce the carbon emission by reducing material waste. Material cut-offs and scraps are used wherever possible. 

- Factory construction allows for simplification through a repeatable process using advanced tools, templates, and jigs.
